My turnaround is anywhere from one to four weeks, depending on the length of the manuscript and my current schedule. I can give you a better time frame estimate when we discuss your project.
I am open to both closed-door and open-door romances (bring on the heat!), however, I may not be the right fit for erotica. However, if you’re writing erotic romance that you want to have a solid plot line and substantial character development, I’m definitely open to reading your work.
I have very few triggers and am open to reading dark content. General violence is fine, however, horror and excessive gore is not my cup of tea.
I am not a trained sensitivity reader and I would highly recommend if you are writing characters from outside your own cultural background that you seek out feedback from readers with that specific lived experience. That said, I do have an MA in Human Rights and am very attuned to issues of diversity in writing. If I come across any potentially offensive characterizations or content, I will absolutely highlight it for your review. If this is not the sort of feedback you would want, I am not the right beta or alpha reader for you.
Basic Beta Reading
Perfect for authors who want a reader’s gut reaction to their story without extensive analysis.
Best for: Authors who have completed revisions and want fresh reader feedback before final polishing.
In-Depth Beta Reading
This service is for authors who need a deeper level of critique to fine-tune their manuscript before moving forward.
Best for: Authors preparing for querying, self-publishing, or developmental editing.
Alpha Reading
Alpha reading is designed for unfinished or first-draft manuscripts that need guidance on structure, story direction, and character arcs before significant revisions.
Best for: Authors in the drafting stage who need early insights to avoid major rewrites later.
